WHO I AM

Bridging Education Systems and Youth Realities

Many education reforms are designed from policy documents, yet their success depends on how young people experience them in classrooms, schools, and communities. My work bridges this gap by combining rigorous research with more than fifteen years of experience working directly with students, educators, universities, and education institutions in Kenya.

As an Education and Youth Development Specialist, I work at the intersection of education systems, career guidance, and youth development. Through research, consultancy, and mentorship, I help stakeholders understand how policy decisions affect learners and how education systems can better prepare young people for successful transitions into higher education, employment, and lifelong learning.

WHY MY WORK MATTERS

Preparing Young People for the Future of Work

Kenya's transition to the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework presents significant opportunities for learners, but it also raises important questions for schools, parents, policymakers, and employers.

Students are expected to make important pathway decisions at an early age. Schools are adapting to new curriculum structures, while parents seek clarity about subject choices and future career opportunities. At the same time, employers continue to highlight skills gaps among graduates entering the workforce.

My work focuses on helping education stakeholders navigate these challenges through practical research, strategic advice, and evidence-based solutions that strengthen career guidance systems and improve school-to-work transitions.
